This makes me angry… Very angry…

Lane Bailey - Tuesday, 29 April 2008 11:35

Tom Royce over at The Real Estate Bloggers posted about this today. And it angers me.

The thing to remember is that I grew up in a military area. Many of my friends from the sixth to twelfth grade were military. The kids were picked up and moved from place to place without having much of a choice. The parents didn’t have much choice either. And that isn’t even getting into the fact that these are the people that put their lives on the line to protect our ability to whine about stuff.

Any other landlord… ANY OTHER LANDLORD would be in jail. Write your elected representatives and tell them that this is not acceptable.

Don’t worry, we can lose the National Endowment for the Arts, and whatever sort of pork Robert Byrd wants this year…

Lane, thanks for passing this on. I grew up a military brat to both a father and step father (dad) who served in Vietnam. I’m equally angered to see this. It’s unacceptable. I’ll do my part to make some noise.

    Lane,

I don’t think I would have seen this if you hadn’t linked it on your website! Thank you for doing that! I hope more people will see it and comment!

I am appalled at the condition of these dorms at Fort Bragg. It’s as bad as living in a war zone! I will be calling/writing my congressmen and senators. This is unacceptable! And to think how much money is spent on “Pork”! Oops…I better not get on my bandwagon…!

Anyway, my brother-in-law just got back from Iraq – his second tour. Captain Shawn Keller. He wrote a blog every few weeks about the conditions and challenges in Iraq. He was in the Civil Affairs division and had some very interesting and enlightening stories. It’s worth your time to read it!

Lane’s New Video Channel

I have just struck a deal with The Video Connector to provide video content for my sites. Look for lots of cool videos from Tara and TJ from Reel Productions. They have been the providers of my video tours for a couple of years now, and really have a handle on the real estate market. Enjoy.
