Are you familiar with Morgan? It is a small British car company that has an amazing history and produces unique motorcars… Their roots are in 3-wheelers back in the early part of the last century. In fact, they built 3-wheelers until the 1950s. In the late 1930s, they began to produce 4-wheelers.
In 1968 they began to build the +8… In 2000 they began to build the Aero8. It carries a BMW V8, and weighs less than the Z4 or M3… which have less power.
But there are other cool things about Morgans. The body’s substructure is made of ash wood. The chassis in aluminum. It is VERY light. So, with 367hp, a top speed of 170+mph and a 0-60 time in the 4.5 second range, it is a brisk ride, to say the least. And rust isn’t a problem… but termites could be.
The coupe is new for 2008. At £110,000, and only 100 built, they are neither cheap nor plentiful… but they are in demand. And here’s why…
