Hummer… there’s nothing else like it.  Now, by Hummer, I actually mean the Hummer H1.  The H2 doesn’t count at all… and the H3, while actually closer to the ideal, still misses the mark.

And the H1 that is the ultimate is the Alpha… like the alpha dog.  It is the final and full evolution of the model.

There are a couple of things I need to say.  While I really like Hummer H1s, I am still a Jeep guy at heart.  H1s are quite capable, but they are so flipping expensive that I could build a Jeep and a tow rig for less.

But you can’t argue with the cool factor of the Hummer H1 Alpha.  Sure, they tick off “environmentalists” just by existing.  They are a touch wide for most places.  Fuel is certainly an expendable commodity.  They do not arrive ANYWHERE unnoticed.  But, you can also belt the kids in the back and they can NOT touch each other… unless they take off their seat belts.  For some families, that would make the H1 the ultimate family trip wagon.
