101 Cars, Part 36… Video Sunday…

Back in the day, THE “Hot Hatch” was the Volkswagon GTI.  When someone said Hot Hatch, the GTI was the first car that came to mind.

Now, import performance is personified by the EVO.  The Mitubishi Evo… Or Evolution.  We are up to about the 10th generation of EVO.  And just as most of the people that were fans of the GTI had no idea what it mean, many EVO fans don’t know that it stands for Evolution, much less know that means in racing circles.

Suffice to say that it is “the next step” for a hot car.  The manufacturer takes a “normal car” and then tweaks it.  In the case of the Mitsubishi EVO, it is the Lancer, and it is seriously cool.
