I actually worked on restoring a few of these. I worked in a shop that the only car we repeated were 55-57 Chevrolets. We did a few convertibles, a couple of Nomads and some serious customs.
They are an “Ultimate” antique car. Almost everyone looks at these as being the classic American car. And the fins of a 57 are MoMA material.
