1951 Dodge Power Wagon

Easily the best known 4×4 in the world is the Jeep… right behind that is certainly the classic Land Rover.  But what would be #3?

Let’s just say that this vintage truck was the “other choice” for Americans that needed something heavier than a Jeep… but didn’t want a monster.  They were manufactured from 1945 through 1968 in the US, and in other markets until 1978.  Dodge resurrected the name in 2005…(the nameplate was used as a trim option in the US as late as 1981… but it wasn’t a different truck).

Obviously it would have the be the Dodge Power Wagon.

There were variants that carried weapons in Korea for the Marines, school busses, wagons, cab/chassis trucks and others.

POWER WAGONS

And because sometimes our trucks need to be tools…
