101 Cars, Part 70…

Kids point… and so do Dads. And Moms. There is NO question about what it is when you see it coming up the street. And no only can you buy the car… you can buy the operation from the company that currently builds it.
My birthday is coming up in a few weeks… I’d be happy to recieve the Viper plant and operations… Or a Viper. Heck, I’ll just take a comment or the chance to sell you a cool house…
Rude, crude and fast was the order for the first generation cars. They had very high limits, but they snapped and growled as those limits got close. They were like the rabid dog of the track car world.
The later generation cars were faster… and lost the bad habits… most of the bad habits. But they were still a mean dogs on a leash. they just had a little more obedience training.
But who can argue with the looks of the early generation coupe? That is a mean and beautiful car.

101 Cars, Part 69…

Back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Lancia rocked the Rally world with the Delta… An understated supercar, it was all wheel drive, turbo-charged and lightened. 0-60 came up in 6.6 seconds, and speed topped out at 133 for the 8v version, and then 5.5 seconds and 137mph for the later 16v versions and Evos.
For 6 seasons, from 1987 through 1992, Lancia dominated Group A with these cars.
