101 Cars, Part 82…

1975 Triumph Spitfire 1500

I have actually had two of these…  The first one was a pretty good car, although it suffered from terminal vapor lock, even after putting on the electric fuel pump.  The second one sucked a valve… and left my house is pieces…

I loved both of them, and when I forget how much of a pain in the butt they were when the failed to run, leaked and were generally annoying, I think about getting another one.

Of course I am talking about Triumph Spitfires.  they originally came out in 1962, and were built until 1980.  The basics didn’t change much over that period, although there was a 6 cylinder variant (the GT6) with a fastback hard top.

Normally I don’t post up three commercials, but they all had a theme… I couldn’t help it.
