When I think of a Rolls Royce, the car that pops into my head is a 1963 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III.  Aside from the fact that it really looks like a Rolls Royce should look, it is also one of the few that I have driven.

A friend of mine imported older cars a long time ago, and I did a little work on one, and spent some time driving it around.

Comparing it to a modern car, it was nice… not exceptional, but nice.  But, comparing it to its contemporaries, it was an amazing car.  Smooth, powerful and with an exceptional ride.  Of course the appointments were all top notch… and the clock even worked on the 20+ year old car.
