101 Cars, Part 96…

This is another “non-specific” car.  They are all pretty similar, at least similar enough for me…

Old Schoolers still call them Winston Cup cars, others call them Nextel Cup or Sprint Cup… but “Cup Cars” is probably the easiest thing to call them.  Or you could call then FAST.  200mph fast.

They are rude, crude and technologically backward.  No fuel injection, traction control or other high tech gadgets… but at the same time, the technology is amazing.  Teams have learned to squeeze amazing amounts of power out of the modern engines… even using the old school technologies.

They are powered by 358 cubic inch engines, producing around 850 horsepower and turning up to 10,000 rpm.
