Sorry for the two week delay… I changed web hosts and it took me a couple of weekends to get everything reorganized. But I’m back…
This week, let’s talk Luxury cars…

Cadillac marked a new high with their recent CTS-V. The car is completely cool. With the addition of the Corvette ZR1′s blown 550+ hp engine, the car came alive. In fact, it slotted the fastest lap for a 4 door production car on factory tires around the prestigious Nurburgring in Germany. It beat strong challengers like the BMW M5 and AMG Mercs…
But, a few years ago Cadillac fired the first shot with the STS sedan. Rumor is that the STS actually stood for Sport Touring Sedan. The platform was fairly respectable at the time, with the Northstar V8 driving the front wheels… But with the newer technology powerplants, it could be SO much more. In fact, I think that a full custom suspension, supporting rear wheel drive would be a welcome change. And since the Northstar would then seem underpowered (along with sitting the wrong way in the engine compartment), swapping in a Mallet modified ZR1 engine would seem appropriate. I would bet the guys at Mallet could squeeze 750hp out of one of those without sacrificing the drivability to the store… to QUICKLY pick up some milk.
Low-Luster black would be cool… and of course, no badges or chrome to be found on the car.
