The family just got back from vacation at Disney World the NAR convention. We went down to visit the convention, as well as participate in an event called Bloodhound Unchained, which was a conference for high tech agents using social media and blogging more effectively.

Garrett at the Controls
Today when we got to preschool, we discovered that the school would be closed for the day due to power issues.
And the energetic 4 year old needs to get out and do some things… today was rainy and cold… So, we decided to run out to Discover Mills and wander around. One of the things on the long list has been hitting the Slingshot Speedway to run some laps on their GIANT slot car track. We have spectated on multiple occasions, and it was time to step up to the controls.

The times are rare when I get away from it all… But, the next three days are one of those times.
I should have some posts set up to pop onto the blog over the next few days, but I will not be directly reachable until Sunday afternoon. I’ll be camping and while I will have my cell phone with me, there won’t be a signal… sorry.
It is time again for the annual Southern Four Wheel Drive Association Dixie Run at Tellico. As has been the case the last few years, my club, the GBR is running registration. We’ll be registering the attendees and selling raffle tickets from 8:00am until 10:00pm… but it is also quite relaxing… we have fun with it.
I’ll be back, recharged and refreshed, on Sunday.
