The late 1980s and early 1990s signaled a return of performance to General Motors.  Several of those cars have been profiled here, and I’m sure there will be a few more.  The Camaro 1LE, Corvette ZR1 and the Buick GNX were some examples.

And then there was GMC…  They repeated the sin of Buick by making something that was faster than the Corvette.

Take a boring S15 pick-up truck.  Add a 4.3L Turbo motor putting out 280hp.  Of course there was a 4 speed automatic and an all-wheel drive system.  Torque was split 35% front/65% rear.
