Last year I wrote about how Atlanta seems to love it’s bruisers… those hockey players that are charged with ‘protecting’ their team mates.  I’ve been lucky enough to meet with a couple of them… and I’ve spent a good bit of time talking with a couple of them.  They are really nice guys (note to self: stay on their good sides).

As the Come and Get It Hockey School gets ready to start (Monday, June 7th), I thought it appropriate that I mention the post from last year again.  Dan Sullivan, one of the guys mentioned, runs the school.  He gives lots of kids the chance to be exposed to ice hockey, and players on the pro level (ECHL, AHL and NHL players make appearances) that some might not get otherwise.  And the kids really like him, too.
