Motoring Monday…
There are LOADS of sources of great car information. Here are two… I’m keeping this short and sweet…
Ford is pushing the envelope…
Have you heard about Fusion 41? Ford is grabbing a handful of social media and leveraging it to promote the 2010 Ford Fusion.
I’ll give you the link to check out the contest. It is pretty cool. Go buy a 2010 Fusion, grab a few friends and have some fun. BTW, I’ll be happy to be on a team if you have the car…
Shoutout to Ignition Alley

While checking out some local technology meetings, I ran across one being hosted by a space called Ignition Alley. With a name like Ignition alley, I HAD to check it out.
They are a “co-working” space. While most of their members will likely be in the technology space, they aren’t limited to that. And the concept is REALLY cool. If it was closer, I might have to join.
Check out their site, and if you are inclined, follow them on Twitter @IgnitionAlley
What Chris Brogan had to say at New Media Atlanta

If you weren’t there, Chris Brogan, co-author of Trust Agents recently spoke at the New Media Atlanta conference. It was excellent.
He ran through several genres of topics, and even addressed the “Back Noise” channel… by putting it on the screen for all to see. (Be aware, there is a bit of profanity, and while Chris didn’t “drop the F-bomb”, PLENTY of people on Back Noise dropped it all over the place)
Head on over to LaneBailey.info to see the video. It was a great presentation, for several reasons. To start with, he knows his stuff… but he also took a new technology that seemed to be designed to throw the presenters off of their game… and he used it to his advantage!
Atlanta Social Media Breakfast, July 23rd

- Image via Wikipedia
That is right. We have finally worked out some of the details and nailed down some of our specifics. Time and location!
We will be hosting the very first Atlanta Social Media Breakfast at the Duluth Diner on Thursday, July 23rd from 7:00 to 9:00am. We will have the WHOLE place to ourselves as their normal opening time isn’t until 9:00 during the week.
We will have a little socializing from 7:00 until 7:30 and then run a program from 7:30 until 8:30. The program will be a round table discussion of social media tactics and technologies. And then from 8:30 until 9:00, we will do a little more networking… and then we can all head out to work.
Ken Cook and I will release a little more information on the program as we get closer to the event. Because this is the first event, it won’t be a total GeekFest, but rather a more general discussion about the basics of Social Network Marketing.
Ken is the co-host of the Social Media Edge radio show on Blog Talk Radio. His show is live on Tuesdays from Noon to 1:00pm.
Stay tuned for updates.
Also, if you are interested in attending, please be sure to let one of us know. Email, phone, Twitter, chat… whatever works best for you. You can find Ken on Twitter, too.
