Some of you might know that our oldest son (soon to be 4 years old), Garrett, has been taking skating lessons for about 3 1/2 months. He wants to play hockey… and be a Goalie.

Today, my mother bought him his first pair of hockey skates. He will also be getting some player gloves (as opposed to a goalie blocking.catching set) for lessons. His birthday is later this month, but we needed him for the sizing… so, he knows they are coming.

In celebration, I have a couple of videos. First up is one from Garrett’s skating class. He is the one in the white Thrasher’s jersey.

The next video is pulled from YouTube. It is a 10 year old Goalie’s highlight reel. As of right now, this is what my son wants to do.

He has a ball skating, and that is the important part of it. Each time we go for the lessons, we have to hang out and watch the kids that practice hockey when we are done. He loves it… almost as much as watching the Zamboni.
