With the boys out of school for the summer, we have to find some cool, fun learning opportunities. Luckily, I was able to tap my friend, Ralph Sikes, owner of American Resto Mods for one of those field trips.
We stopped by while the temps were hovering around 100° at lunch when we arrived… that didn’t stop the boys from spending a little while exploring the shop and the cars. There was a 65 Lincoln Continental, several Corvettes, an Olds 88 Convertible… there was a Firebird Formula in the paint booth… MG-TD, Lambo kit car, a few trucks and Ralph’s own Mustang.
If you are looking for a good shop for your restoration or resto-mod, Ralph has a solid crew there. In addition to straight restorations, they are also doing some cool updates. A few days ago they posted about a fuel injected 5.3L engine they were installing in a classic Cadillac Convertible. It has more power and gets better gas mileage than the old engine…
