I am a racer at heart. I always want to find a way to do it better, faster and more efficiently. But, you know… that doesn’t mean that the only racing has to cost millions of dollars and require travelling around the country. Or the world.

I haven’t done enough WRC videos lately, so I figured it was time for some Rally video again…
And if you wonder what it would be like on the inside… Ride along with Chris Atkinson in 2008 in the Rally Jordan.
While sitting down to update the GarageHomesUSA website today, I turned on the NASCAR race. During qualifying the other day, Michael McDowell, a rookie, got a serious introduction to the “safer barrier” and the Car of Tomorrow.
Despite already being an incredibly safe sport, NASCAR has upped the ante with the new car, and installed a new type of impact absorbing wall on almost all of the tracks. If there were any doubts about the effectiveness of these improvements, the first clip will lay those to rest.
Of course, the NASCAR boys aren’t the only ones to crash and crash big. Here is a compilation of Rally crashes. There are some amazing impacts that drivers and navigators walked away from.
Have fun and stay safe out there. Even if your car looks like one of these… it probably isn’t BUILT like one of these. And even if it is, I’m betting the other cars involved won’t be.
I know, it is April Fool’s Day. I have left a few little jokes here and there around the web. I put my Jeep project up for sale on my 4wd club’s forum. I posted about how I wanted to be average on Active Rain.
But, this is different… I came across a few videos (honestly, there is a video thread here, but I’m only going to post a couple of them) about something I had never thought about. And this is sick on about 6 different levels… Seriously.
Let that soak in for a moment. I mean really… that is just wrong. And fun. I want one now. I laugh every time i see one, and now I’m thinking… hhmmm.
And if you like things a little dirtier…
Finally, since I had to have one video that was completely different…
Just because the car is called a “Smart” doesn’t mean the driver has to be…
Today’s videos are quite different from each other. The first is an Australian Hummer video, although I know that a lot of the footage is from Moab, UT.
The next video is from the middle east. These guys are definitely pretty good at what they are doing… although I think I would be a little ticked if I was going down the highway with the family and got passed by a guy driving like this…
