I had a Broker Open House today (some call them office caravans or just broker opens), and one of my guests was Angel Walker, a local stager. I’ve talked with Angel a few times, and she has even written a post on staging for my blog and website, and she is always a pleasure to talk with about real estate.
One of the reasons she is refreshing to talk with about real estate is that she is outside of the “normal” channels. While there is no doubt that she is a real estate professional, she isn’t an agent, so her outlook is different.
Angel is also the person I will be tapping to help me with a Seller’s Seminar (still in the works… looking for a good venue). She will present staging a improvements that a seller can easily make to prepare their home for sale.

Staging is crucial! I actually offer that as part of my listing package when I feel it’s needed and it makes a big difference. I will often tell folks to do it and I will pick up the tab at closing when the home sells.
