While running through my normal daily readings today, I was hit by a realization. Delicious.com (used to be del.icio.us) offers a GREAT and FREE service that could be VERY beneficial to buyers.
If you aren’t familiar with Delicious.com, they are a “social bookmarking” site. That means that a user can go in, set up a profile, save webpages and then share them with their friends and family online. I have a few friends that send me links of materials they think I should take a look at through this tool…
Most buyers begin their searches online… and of course they are looking at a bunch of different houses, and possibly at a bunch of different sites. Often, they are also sharing their results with the family or friends in order to solicite opinions.
So, here is what we have…
- Buyers want to share the results of their property searches
- Delicious offers an option for people to share bookmarks
- Bookmarking is a great way to save property information
Putting it all together…
If you are a buyer, sign up for Delicious.com, save the property bookmarks, share the bookmarks with your family or friends.
Of course this is only a suggestion… but it might make the search a little easier.
