I ran across these two rides from different sources.  They are VERY different vehicles and are aimed at two very different markets.  The only thing they share in common is that they are seriously cool.

The big challenge will come in seeing them actually get onto the road in any sort of significant numbers.

First we have the PAL-V

Ever want a flying car?  When I was a kid, these were going to be all the range by the year 2000…  I haven’t seen any outside of a Bond flick, though.  Here you go…  The Personal Air Land – Vehicle (PAL-V) is designed to be able to fly and drive.  I haven’t found pricing, but I wouldn’t expect cheap…

And then there is the Aptera 2e

Completely opposite end of the spectrum.  Electric.  Capable of getting the equivalent of 100+mpg… some sources say 250+mpge.  And I have to say, I like the design.  The Aptera 2E looks like nothing else on the road.  And the expected price is under $30k.  And if Aptera is looking for a Car Guy/Blogger to play with one for a while… I am available.
