Sustaining Urban Villages – Brockett Elementary Outdoor Classroom
Mrs. GarageGuy and I had the opportunity earlier this week to visit with Brendon Barclay, Executive Director of Sustaining Urban Villages. Along with a score of other adults and kids (mostly homeschoolers…), we had volunteered our morning to help with the construction of an outdoor classroom.
Interested in New Home promotions in and around Gwinnett County, GA?
I have just rolled out a system to update YOU when there are promotions in new home communities in and around Gwinnett County, GA. There are days I get 6 or 7 notices from builders and developers, and there are weeks when there aren’t any… But, as soon as I get them, I will forward them to my new toy platform.
Atlanta’s First Playground… Norcross, GA
Have you heard of the Eastern Continental Divide? It is an imaginary line that runs right through the Norcross Historic District… and all of the rivers and streams on one side of this line eventually flow into the Atlantic… on the other side, they flow into the Gulf of Mexico.
Shoutout to Ignition Alley

While checking out some local technology meetings, I ran across one being hosted by a space called Ignition Alley. With a name like Ignition alley, I HAD to check it out.
They are a “co-working” space. While most of their members will likely be in the technology space, they aren’t limited to that. And the concept is REALLY cool. If it was closer, I might have to join.
Check out their site, and if you are inclined, follow them on Twitter @IgnitionAlley
What Chris Brogan had to say at New Media Atlanta

- Image by bobby-james via Flickr
If you weren’t there, Chris Brogan, co-author of Trust Agents recently spoke at the New Media Atlanta conference. It was excellent.
He ran through several genres of topics, and even addressed the “Back Noise” channel… by putting it on the screen for all to see. (Be aware, there is a bit of profanity, and while Chris didn’t “drop the F-bomb”, PLENTY of people on Back Noise dropped it all over the place)
Head on over to LaneBailey.info to see the video. It was a great presentation, for several reasons. To start with, he knows his stuff… but he also took a new technology that seemed to be designed to throw the presenters off of their game… and he used it to his advantage!
