Small Business BarCamp Atlanta
I am proud to say that I attended the very first REbarcamp, which was a real estate industry specific technology “unconference”. Basically, the idea behind barcamp is that the conferees get together and create an agenda and then host the sessions. It is an amazing peer-to-peer discussion.

Right now there are several areas of North Georgia, including Gwinnett County, that are issuing rebates for ‘water saver’ toilets.
While this might not be terribly exciting, it is pretty cool… especially when combined with a deal at Costco on one of the listed toilets…

Have you ever listened to the radio and heard the tagline, “the biggest no-brainer in the history of Earth”? I sure have… over and over. About half of the time I am saying things my kids shouldn’t hear by the time the commercial is over.
The ‘announcer’ starts by proclaiming something obvious, then he tries to connect it to his business model… But, it isn’t always a good connection, and certainly seldom as slam-dunk as it should be to be the biggest no-brainer in the history of Earth.”

Mrs. GarageGuy and I had the opportunity earlier this week to visit with Brendon Barclay, Executive Director of Sustaining Urban Villages. Along with a score of other adults and kids (mostly homeschoolers…), we had volunteered our morning to help with the construction of an outdoor classroom.
