FMLS put ont the numbers for August pretty fast. Shockingly fast… So, I was able to get the market report out faster than usual. Take a look. It is mixed news. July turned out stronger than expected, but August preliminary numbers are a little weaker than I’d like.
So, I write on Active|Rain… generally 10 posts a week… I know, I want the points, but it also keeps me disciplined. I write 7 posts a week for LaneBailey.com… again, one post a day is WAY easier for me to do that any other number because if I slack off the momentum, I might just stay slacked off…

Outside.In is a website devoted to neighborhood news. I’ll be sending my feeds there. Currently there are only feeds coming in from major media, but I think we will start to see more blogs and other media geo-tagging their content.
Of course, this is in addition to Localism, which is a site dedicated to hyper-local content, of which I am also a part.
These sites, as well as other emerging sites are all doing similar things. The primary goal is to let people find out what is going on where they live. International news is important. National news is also important. We need to keep up with what happens under the Gold Dome in Atlanta… but knowing what is happening where we live is vital. Property values and quality of life are impacted mightily by what happens on a neighborhood level.
Odd… the world wide web is making it easier to find out what is happening next door.
